WHAT IS A HYDRAULIC OR A MECHANICAL PRESS?

Presses are the type of machine tools used in the processing of different types of materials in industry.

The press machines of different tonnages, which are moved by means of an operator, are designed to shape the material in male and female molds by "compressing" the material. The presses have two jaws, one fixed at the bottom and the other at the top. The strength of the presses is expressed in tons.

OHS MEASURES ABOUT PRESS MACHINES

In terms of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS or sometimes referred to OSH), press machines are machines that can cause the highest number of accidents in the manufacturing area.
